February 2022 Newsletter
The Treasure State CMSA club is excited to announce that we are under new leadership that is planning lots of new and exciting shoots this summer in our great state of Montana along with new sponsors, buckles and even saddles to be given out this year.
Our new President is the one and only Rick Farnsworth who has been actively shooting for many years and is enthusiastically working to make mounted shooting great again in Montana.
Our Vice President is our beautiful and wise Megan Burton. She is fairly new to the sport and is addicted to it as well as being very diplomatic and gifted in working with others. We also enjoy her 3 handsome cowboy sons who make the wrangler competition very exciting.
Our Treasurer is everyone’s favorite person to be around Jack Zigler. Jack loves the sport of cowboy mounted shooting and will do anything to help out a fellow shooter. He also is a very successful businessman who will be a great asset in taking good care of the club's finances. As well as his generosity in always being a sponsor.
Our secretary is the great Miss Teri High, she is one of the best in the sport. She knows the ins and outs of this sport and is always helping others and making sure our shoots run smoothly whether it be setting courses or keeping score there isn’t anyplace she’s not willing to work. She can always be counted on to be there.
We will kick this year off on May 27th-30th with the Mid Mountain Regionals being held in St Regis along with a Super-horse triathlon. Registration is open so get signed up space is limited.
In the month of June we will begin our summer buckle series starting in Boulder on the 10th-12th and the 17th-19th in Butte. July 2nd-4th will be in Twin Bridges, Aug. 26-28 will finish out our buckle series.
July 15-17th will be our State shoot in Big Timber. This is a great arena and a really fun town to explore. We are really excited to go back there again this year.
We also will be having a border war with North Dakota on Aug 20-21st in Glendive.
Be watching on the CMSA events web page to get registered. We will have more info as we get closer. Hope to see you all this summer in Montana.
